The 2011 IMG Baseball Academy Summer Wood Bat League presented by Under Armour
We would like to invite you to Florida to participate in the 2011 IMG High School Summer Wood Bat League, presented by Under Armour, June 19th - August 7th, 2011
The IMG Academies' 400 acre facility is the world's #1 multi-sport training complex for junior, collegiate, adult, and professional athletes.
In 2007 the IMG Baseball Academy was rated #1 in the country by Sports Illustrated for Kids. According to the NCAA 6.2% of high school baseball players attend college on a scholarship. At the IMG Baseball Academy 97% of our players have either turned pro or gone to college on a scholarship.
The 2011 Summer Wood Bat League presented by Under Armour will feature:
- 120 talented players from all over the country divided over 8 teams.
- The team coaches in the Wood Bat League will be current College Coaches from NCAA.
This gives our players 7 weeks of exposure and showcasing to colleges from around the country.
Our regular IMG staff of Ken Bolek, Steve Frey, Dave Shepard, Andy Stewart, and others will be floating coaches. This will give the IMG coaches an opportunity to watch the players in game situations, work with them between innings, and take that experience to the practice field.
Team coaches will be both College Coaches and IMG Baseball Academy Staff. All Coaches will have Professional and/or Collegiate Experience.Simply stated, The IMG Baseball Academy provides serious baseball players with a professional training experience that is second to none
- 7 & 7: Seven weeks of Competition and Training Seven days a week with an (IPI) IMG Performance Institute Regeneration component on Sunday mornings
 - 2 Day College Recruiting Showcase
- College Recruiting Seminar
- Training at the IMG Academies 400 acre facility the Largest Multi-Sport Training Facility in the World.
- 120 High School Players will be selected for 8 Teams with a 25+ Regular Season and Tournament Game Schedule.
- Speed, Strength, and Agility Training at the IMG Performance Institute (IPI).
- A new 6,000 square foot, $275,000.00 state-of-the-art covered hitting complex with 4 tunnels will be completed in February! The lighting and equipment will be to MLB specifications, with Internet Access and Video analysis in the cages.
- Players will live on Campus in safety and comfort.
